The journey behind TUSK Acoustics began when Vuk, passionate about both music and design, set out to create the perfect acoustic environment for his own studio. As he experimented with different materials, he discovered the ancient Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban — a method of charring wood to preserve and beautify it. The striking textures and deep, natural finishes of this technique sparked a deeper appreciation for the connection between form and function. Inspired by this, Vuk began incorporating Shou Sugi Ban into his custom acoustic panels, and the idea for TUSK Acoustics was born.
